1Why is Gliclazide (Diamicron) prescribed?
Gliclazide tablets are sold in the market having gliclazide as an active ingredient. It is prescribed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is used for controlling the condition of hyperglycemia that can't be controlled by the proper dietary supplements.Â
2How to use it?
Diamicron tablets are generally recommended to take it before breakfast. Swallow the drug as a whole and don't chew, crush or break the tablet. It can also be taken with a meal. You should take the medication as recommended by your physician.Â
3What if I miss a dose or overdose?
Due to any reason, if you forgot to take the dose,then take it later, but assure that the time is not exceeded to the time of the next dose. If the time is nearer to the next dose of that drug than skip the previous dose. Don't take both doses at the same time to catch up the missed dose.Â
