1Why is Invokana prescribed?

Invokana is an oral diabetes medicine that contains canagliflozin as an active ingredient. It helps to control blood sugar levels by removing excess sugar of your body from urine. Invokana is used alone or together with some other diabetic medications that may help to enhance its pharmaceutical activity. It can be prescribed to the patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus. 

2How to use it?

Invokana tablets are available in the market in various doses or strengths. It is advised that these tablets can be taken in empty stomach i.e without meal. It is used with diet and exercise to improve the effectiveness of the drug or to control the blood sugar level. Swallow the drug as a whole. Not to be taken without prescription or any consultation with the physician. 

3What if I miss a dose or overdose?

If you forgot to take a dose, then don't be panicked about it, skip the dose and go back to your regular schedule. Don't take both the doses at the same time to catch up the missed dose.

• Drink plenty of fluids as it causes dehydration.
